Football came to my life already during the days in Malaga. We realized its not hobby, its not sport. Football is Spain. Football is life and Football is larger than life!
Fc Barcelona is Barcelona.
One thing Im personally thankful for football is that when we moved kids didnt speak the language,didnt have any friends, but we just put them to a local school, and it didnt take many days Oskar realized football brings him friends. He started carrying a ball with him where ever we went and there was always someone who wanted to play.
Little boys world ; no talking needed, just a ball.
This way Oskar started learning the language and got friends.
So wohoo! Football!
I also miss the fact that football is for everyone. All liga games are shown only on "pay extra channels" so lots of people goes to bars and cafes to watch the games. Every bar or cafe has a tv. All of them. Usually many tv's and some even few at the terrace as well. They are full of families watching football, not only adults beer bars, theres many where you can take your kids too. Saturday or Sunday evening dinner and football.
In Finland we cant do this.. bars are only for adults.
BarCa stuff is for sale everywhere.. not only the Official FC Barcelona shops, but also many many souvenier shops, its huge business.. these "paki shops" the souvier shops sells BarCa stuff cheaper than the official ones, they are fakes ofcourse and also mostly from previous seasons. At official BarCa shop a team shirt for adult is around 100e, in the souvenier shop you can get it half price. Anyhow, never pay what they ask in these paki shops.. theres always a cheaper price to what they ask. Sometimes they asked me 65e for a boys set of shirt shorts and socks.. at the end I paid 40e :)
Our home has been and is full of all kinds of BarCa stuff..
Oskar went to Fc BarCa kids try out day.. ok, a bit huge dream to get in as a Finnish kid who had never played in a team yet.. but hey,..He played on official Fc BarCa kids field and had a great day!
Fc Barcelona has its own Tv channel.. 24/7 only Football and only BarCa.. but they do not show La Liga games live, those are sold to Canal + and Gol tv but Barca tv sends all the time old games, interviews, live practise, kids games, champions league history.. you name it,its BarCa. Kids used to argue a loooot about this.. Ines wanted watch kids programs and Oskar only BarCa tv.. sometimes we had to take turns, 15mins and 15mins to keep them both happy.
Camp Nou is the where the Magic happens.. its huge! helds 98 000 if I remember correctly..games are priced according to he category of the team they play against. Tickets are sold all over the city, and at Camp Nou ofcourse.. Champions League games are the most expensive, starting from 80e to more than 500e .. and ofcouuuuurse, Real Madrid games. Those are usually always full.. as well as games against the "other local " RCD Espanyol which is a team from a city next to Barcelona ( its joint city to Barcelona,they are side by side and as a tourist for instance, you dont even notice the difference where is the border ). Espanyol is not as good as BarCa on adults but they have few supporters in the city as well and those games are really popular. Their own stadium is at Cornella-El Prat, very close to the Barcelona airport.
oh yes, I have been to Camp Nou few times! its coooool! its reaaaallly cooool!
Camp Nou has the biggest Hot Dogs in planet
on winter time its frigging cold to sit there..

I was very bummed I missed the win of the World Cup and Champions League party, I missed this year the party for winning La Liga.. but I was there for Eurocopa..
Football came and football stayed!
