Earth, Wind and the Sea

My little man is 4 months old today!
                                                       Wohoo! Felicitats!

                                                         Time just flies!

My friend took these fotos..she got a new flashlight to her camera and wanted to practise.. oh yes! she can practise whenever with us!

                                         Muchas Gracias, Moltes Gracies, Kiitos!

as the weather continues to be somewhat " i hate" in Finnish Summer.. I find myself missing the hot hot hot days of Barcelona.. At the moment its so hot there you need a waterbottle with you.. all the time where ever you go.. nights are full swet and the air just stands.
Some people hate it.. I love it.

for a little breeze of fresh air.. there is several little cruises to take.. this one was just an idea "hey lets go check it" .. little tour to the sea last year on July.  These boats leave at the sea end of Las Ramblas and there is many versions.. we took this one :)

and saw this! just a little yacht owned by Roman Abramovich who owns English football team Chelsea.. he keeps this little boat of his at the harbour in Barcelona very often.

Apart from the ciutadella park and montjuic mountain .. Barcelona is green in other parts as well.. the newest barrio of the city is called Diagonal Mar, everything is very modern there. like really. modern and cool. There is also few big hotels, huge shopping mall, many offices, a beach, the new exhibition hall called Forum ( many big concerts and happenings arranged here, like a real Andalusian Feria each April )  and this very nice park!

very easy to go..both, metro and the tram goes there.

One other park we went to once,  we liked extremely much! I had read about this place, but it took forever to actually go there..we lived next to Ciutadella and this one is a bit outside of the city. Very north so it was just so easy to always go to the park next door. But one Saturday we packed some snack  and hit the metro. Was 40-45mins by metro from the center and around 30mins walk to find this park in neighbourhood called Horta.

Its amazing! The Labyrinth Park! This park has been in public use since 1971, after the owner family Desvalls gave it to the city of Barcelona. There is a real labyrinth! there really is.. we had so much fun running around there.. one time I lost Oskar and panicked but there he was suddenly behind me laughing " Moooom Im here " . There is a couple euro entrance fee to this park, its open everyday, 7days a week from morning till night and definately worth visiting! hey.. throughout Spanish history.. 3 kings have visited this park too!

" The Parc del Laberint, the oldest garden in Barcelona, covering over 18 acres, has a long history. It is one of the remaining vestiges of the extravagance of the Spanish monarchy in Catalunya. In 1791, Antoni Desvalls, marquis of Llupiaand Alfarrás, began landscaping the property of his estate then located on the outskirst of the city. The park still has many traces of the idyllic lifestyle of the marquis, including a monument constructed to commemorate a splendid afternoon spent in the company of the king's nephew and his new bride.

In the middle of the 19th century, the marquis's successors expanded the park with a Romantic garden. The expansion of the park takes on a less orderly form with a greater variety of plants, large trees with dense foliage, and a natural-looking waterfall that gives more of the sensation of a landscaped forest than a royal garden. It is the most meditative and isolated area of the park and, perhaps, the best place for privacy for lovers, or just anyone who wants privacy - a reclusive nun once took up residence there in a small cabin, according to the brochure about the park issued by the Ajuntament's Parcs i Jardins department. "

loooong day.. but most definately worth making the trip!
